Our teaching is about more than just learning to play an instrument

The approach we use was developed by Japanese violinist and educator, Dr Shinichi Suzuki, with the aim of enriching childrens' lives through music

Children have weekly individual lessons with their teacher, as well as monthly group lessons, where they enjoy playing with other children.  It's great for social skills and motivation

Parents are important too.  They attend every lesson with their child, taking notes in order to support their child with practice at home

In Suzuki teaching, children learn by ear.  They don't read music until later on, which allows them to focus on developing fantastic technique and musicianship right from the start

Our community is important to us.  We regularly hold group lessons, concerts and playtogethers so our pupils and families can meet, share ideas and celebrate each others' successes
